I didn’t know soaking them makes them “sprout”. I just thought they soaked up water.

This is the first step in making almond milk.

If you haven’t made almond milk before you basically just take those soaked almonds and toss them in a blender for a couple/few minutes. Not sure how well a regular blender works as I use a VitaMix here. Then pour it all in a sprout bag to filter through the fine milk.

    That’s it.

You can add vanilla extract and/or honey/agave nectar to sweeten it if you like. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.

    Its delicious.

Oops, I forgot…you have to add 3 cups of water per 1 cup of almonds (measure before soaking).

You dont have to get the water part perfect…you can add more water or even less if you like. 3 cups to 1 works best for us.

And then put it fridge for awhile before drinking…best cold…but you will probably drink it all the first time you make it before it makes it to the fridge.

    Jordan, thanks for the almonds.
