Wednesday’s workout was in honor of Miss Molly Sims. So she’s who you want to blame I mean THANK for the double whammy of 24 rep deadlifts, burpees, sit ups, and pull ups workout. Wednesday was her 24th birthday. We hope you had a great day Molly!
In other news, we wanted to congratulate Lindsay C. on her newfound upper body strength. After Molly’s birthday workout, she said she had graduated to the gray band for pull ups, something she had never done before. Lindsay has been consistently working on her upper body pulling strength since the May pull up skill clinic. She had been doing horizontal reverse rows with a bar across the racks and today, was able to take her strength to the vertical limit.
Speaking of pull ups, our next clinic is September 6th at 6:30pm. At the pull up skill clinic, we will focus first on gaining strength which starts from the core. We will do hollow rock drills on the floor before we move to the bars. It’s not mandatory that you have a strict pull up before you do a kipping pull up, but it’s definitely recommended which means we will work on core strength and body control and THEN we’ll move to the faster kipping pull ups.
Great work, Lindsay C. We love to see people work consistently and then reach their goals. Please RSVP to the Pull Up Skill Clinic. There’s only six spots left.
