CrossFit Modesto’s Future Soldiers

CrossFit Modesto Krav Maga and the Future Soldiers training team was featured on the front page of the Modesto Bee on Tuesday. The article was on the weekly PT that is conducted at CrossFit Modesto on Tuesdays at 3 PM.

The article focuses on how CrossFit mentally and physically prepares Future Soldiers for basic training and how, through the course of their time training at CFMKM with the sergeants, they feel ready for boot camp.

One of the best things about this program is seeing people transform from who they were in the beginning. Mike and Billy push these young ladies and gentlemen to their limits and some of them throw up and some of them can’t finish workouts. But towards the end of their time at CFMKM these same people (who have vomited or thrown in the towel), are the ones who go harder and faster and want to do MORE after the workouts are finished.

Some of the Future Soldiers come in as students and we get to know them a little better. We recently had a former future soldier Andy Schaffert visit with his wife Malory.

Kamal Gill was a future soldier we had training with us for over a year. It was bittersweet to see her go, but she told us she left prepared, and “I have genuinely experienced a great deal of change in my attitude and have learnt to become more generous, considerate and helpful to others just as everyone has been to me.”
